The short version
GlutenDodger doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no names, no ads, no third-party analytics and no trackers. Everything you save — your region, allergen profile, Safe List and scan history — stays on your device.
What leaves your phone
When you scan a barcode, the app sends that barcode number to Open Food Facts (a non-profit, open food database) to look up the product. That request includes your IP address, as all internet requests do. No name, account or identifier is attached, and we don’t see it. Label photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded.
What we store
Nothing, on our side. We run no servers that hold user data. Your data lives in the app on your phone and is deleted by "Delete all my data" in Settings, or by uninstalling.
If you email support, we see your email address and message; we use them only to reply and don’t add you to any list.
Children
The app is suitable for general audiences and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future feature changes any of this (for example, optional cloud label analysis), this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the app will make it clear at the point of use.
